Ironstone: International exhibition of contemporary cast iron sculpture

Kidwelly Castle, Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire.

Curated by Wilfred Cass, CBE Director Cass Sculpture Foundation.

Sculpture Cymru was delighted to work in partnership with the Sixth International Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Cadw to host this exhibition of cast iron sculpture at Kidwelly Castle. It was a pleasure to represent such a diverse and talented group of artists from an international field. All are skilled in working with iron, and have applied their considerable experience to pioneer new and innovative techniques to extend the language of sculpture.

Roedd sculpture Cymru yn falch i weithio mewn partneriaeth â chweched cynhadledd ryngwladol ar gelfyddyd gyfoes haearn bwrw a Cadw i gynnal yr arddangosfa hon o haearn bwrw cerflun yng Nghastell Cydweli. Roedd yn bleser cynrychioli grŵp mor amrywiol a dawnus o artistiaid o’r maes rhyngwladol. Gyd yn fedrus yn gweithio â haearn, ac wedi defnyddio eu profiad sylweddol i arloesi technegau newydd ac arloesol i ymestyn iaith y cerflun.
