Nina Lazarou

I’m a self-taught wire sculptor from the Vale of Glamorgan, inspired by a willow sculpture course that sparked my interest in shaping wire into expressive, recognisable forms. My work captures movement and energy, reflecting the strength, flexibility, and spontaneity of the medium. Each sculpture is crafted by hand using only fingers and pliers, allowing an intuitive and organic process. I’m passionate about community engagement, working with schools, Girl Guides, wellbeing projects, and local charities. I also run wire sculpture workshops from my studio in Barry, sharing the creative potential of this versatile material with people of all ages and abilities.
