Dilys Jackson

Dilys Jackson’s works derive from a kinaesthetic relationship between forms seen in the natural world and those of the human body. The curves of mountains rounded by wind and water and the growth of plants and microorganisms engender forms which have echoes in our own corporal growth and processes.

The works have formal elements of mass and division which embody the dynamic balance between oppositions. She uses bronze, iron, steel and stone.

Jackson lives in Cardiff and works at the Butetown Artists Studios. She has travelled and worked widely. Recently she has had a number of solo exhibitions in Wales and Germany and has had work in exhibitions in Wales, England, Ireland, France, Spain and Latvia.

Her work may be seen at Salem Art Works and Franconia Sculpture Parks USA. The Sculpture Park, Churt England and also in the collections of the National Museum, Cardiff, the National Library, Aberystwyth, South Wales University, Llandough Hospital and Llantarnam Grange Art Centre and numerous private collections.
