NAME: Lee Odishow

PROFILE:

Through my artistic training and practice, I have developed an interest in casting metals. I have learnt the skills necessary to make differing moulds to produce fine art Cast Iron, and Bronze sculptures. 

I get great enjoyment from producing sculpture, treating it as a form of play, exploring forms and objects with a view to combining them.

Nature and the man-made are my most recurrent themes, and I like to ‘capture’ these elements using hot metals. Through the casting processes I can loosely document and preserve the artefacts that I find, acquire, or receive.

In a way I am trying to enhance or highlight the inherent beauty and complexities found within the world around us, and I try to draw the attentions of the viewer towards the finer details.
